We bought this new food for our dog.  It’s supposed to be a better food, with less fillers and more natural ingredients.  One of it’s touted advantages is that your dog will have less poop waste.  Yippee, I thought, less to clean up.  And that’s all well and good, except for that fact that my dog does not have less waste.  She has a lot of waste.  She has so much waste, that…well, I’ll spare you the rest.

So you would conclude that the food does not do what it says it will, wouldn’t you?  Except for the fact that she likes the food so much that she’s eating twice the amount she ate before.  So even if the food did cut down on the amount of waste per, let’s say, a cup of food, she’s eating two cups* worth and therefore still has the same amount of waste as before.  So there’s not any less to clean up.  And I really hate to clean that up.

*Oh goodness, I wish she only ate two cups of food.  No, my dog eats far more than that.  Far more.

All that eating wears a girl out.

Here’s a tip. DON’T OVER FEED THE DOG! Sorry for the caps. I can think of one other dog you did that to. They really don’t need that much. This one is not that big. And shouldn’t be very big. Abby gets 3 cups a day and a treat at night.(after cleaning her ears). Another hint: they will eat whatever amount they are given. Eating machines they are.

    Um, yeah, except she’s a puppy. And she’s 50 lbs. She’s still growing…
