Queen

My daughter has a pink cowboy hat that has a tiara attached to the front of it.  You know, like a cowgirl princess.  (In case she ever needs to go to the ball in her fancy hat, I guess.)  She has taken to wearing the hat along with a fluffy pink boa, and playing such games as Police Detective and Mermaids.  And that makes all the sense in the world to her.

Yesterday, while playing and wearing her get-up, she declared herself the “Queen of Texas.”  She declared it loudly and proudly, and I’m sure she surely thought herself the Queen.

When I had a moment alone with my son, I asked him if that was truly what she said.  He said yes, and then offered up the suggestion that we, “sell her to Texas.”  When I told him that he would eventually miss her, he replied, “Maaaybe.”

Looks like the “Queen of Texas” better beware.  Her underlings are planning a revolt.

I think may son would agree to us sending her to Texas (or even Oklahoma.) I even think he’d be willing to pay for her plane trip out of his current, and future, allowance!
